Text Box: CUDOS for Columbus Chapter

I have just returned from Columbus, Ohio where I attended the AITP meeting held at DeVry University. The members and I were given a presentation on .net technology and it was excellent. The Columbus Chapter is to be commended for the terrific turn-around that they have experienced in the past two months.  They signed three new members at Monday's meeting and you could feel the excitement in the air.
While there, I installed the newly elected officers. This group is charged and ready to take on the future of their chapter.

There were several graduating students and they are getting the paperwork together for their interim membership. I am sure that you will be seeing more of these graduates. They are a bright and very sharp group of young people. I am sure that we will see information about them on the Columbus web site in the near future.

We need to give the Columbus Chapter a round of applause for their great work.

Thanks Columbus AITP,
Roger Frame, President
AITP Region 18

Check the Region 18 Website for the 2002 Leadership Retreat brochure and update information.  Early registration deadline is October 15. www.aitp-region18.org

The Region Officers have decided to change the Scholarships.  There will be one 2003 Region 18 Scholarship worth $1000.  Applications will be on the website and the deadline date will be prior to the Region Conference.

In the future you may be contacted by a Region Chapter Ambassador, this person appointed by the Region Officers, will be contacting Region Directors and/or Officers to expand communication between the Region and Chapters.  They will be asking how the region can take a roll in rebuilding or guiding Chapters in membership growth suggestions.  They will update the Chapters on Region events and will ask the Chapters if they would like a visit by a Region Representative.  If a visit is requested the Ambassador will contact the Region Officers and someone will attempt to attend.  Please use these Region Chapter Ambassadors to help us make the Leadership Region even better.
