In a recent article by Alan Hoffman, Monster.com’s Tech jobs expert, AITP was listed in the Top 10 Information Technology professional organizations. Mr. Hoffman’s comments about the AITP: 
"AITP aims to help its members connect with others in IT "in an effort to become more marketable in rapidly changing, technological careers." The heart of AITP lies in its local chapters, located everywhere from Birmingham, Alabama, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Chapter meetings and other activities provide informal contact with other IT professionals."

The Region 18 Leadership retreat will be held November 8-10 2002 in Charleston, West Virginia. The conference theme is "The Buck stops here". The keynote speaker on Saturday will be Dr. R. Glenn Ray speaking on facilitative leadership and understanding the motivation of leaders. The cost of the conference is $60.
