Text Box: NATIONAL NEWS Public Statement concerning AITP & SIM Conversations The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and the Society for Information Management (SIM) are exploring synergy and partnership opportunities between the two organizations. Both organizations wish to better serve their respective members and have started a dialogue that will result in idea exchange, the sharing of best practices and the examination of partnership opportunities. Of particular interest to AITP and SIM are possibilities to: Strengthen positions on key IT issues shared by the respective members Enhance or expand current offerings through collaborative efforts Create new offerings that are aligned with each organization’s mission Improve upon the effectiveness of management Increase exposure in the marketplace Retain & grow membership This announcement is not an indication of any commitment by AITP or SIM to enter into a transaction or business relationship at this time.
